OXFORD Castle & Prison which features Oxford Castle Unlocked visitor centre, has picked up a prestigious award.
The attraction is one of this year’s Sandford Award winners.
The accolade is an independently judged mark of quality for education programmes at heritage sites.

Oxford Preservation Trust (OPT) has congratulated Lisa Price, learning and access officer at Oxford Castle & Prison for her tireless work, which led to the castle winning the award.

Ms Price's work at the Key Learning Centre revolves around OPT’s goal for every school child in Oxfordshire to visit Oxford Castle & Prison at least once during their school career.
This year, other award winners included Bletchley Park, Buckingham Palace, the V&A Museum and Windsor Castle.
