Oxford City Council is sending out extra litter patrols over this weekend following shameful scenes when rubbish was left strewn over many of the city’s parks last week.
The council tweeted: We take a tough line with the selfish minority who harm people, places, communities and animals by discarding litter.
This weekend we are undertaking extra patrols at Port Meadow, South Park and other green spaces.
And they warned: Pick it up or face a £150 fixed penalty.
