Oxford Mail Camera Club members have been taking photos of ‘timeless Oxfordshire’.

That was our latest weekly theme and photographers took the opportunity to capture some of the city’s best-loved landmarks including the Radcliffe Camera and the University Church of St Mary the Virgin in High Street.

There were also photos of the Bodleian Library and Christ Church college.

There were so many outstanding pictures it was difficult to pick a winner for photo of the week but in the end we chose this striking image from Jackie Brockis.

It shows an armillary sphere - an astronomical instrument used to track celestial orbits - in the Fellows’ Garden at Merton College.

It was presented to the college by George Tierney in 1830. The next theme is ‘town life’.
